Return To ShopAccessibility Statement for mauibabe.com
Maui Babe, Inc. is committed to making mauibabe.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification and other assistive technology. We take practical, ongoing steps to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and we treat accessibility as part of running the store, not a one-time project.
Measures we take
- A “Skip to content” link is the first item on every page, so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the menus.
- Every page declares its main content region and its language, and headings follow a logical order for assistive technology.
- Icon links (shopping cart, wishlist, search, account, social) carry spoken names, and the cart count is included in the name.
- Adding or removing a product in the cart is announced to screen readers, on product pages and in the catalog.
- Product images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields are labelled, keyboard focus is always visible, pages can be zoomed to 500%, and text and link colours meet the AA contrast ratio.
- A toolbar on every page offers high-contrast and larger-text modes, on desktop and on phones.
- The site’s software is updated continuously with automatic checks, and the site is re-audited against WCAG 2.1 AA with automated tools on a regular schedule, with the reports retained.
Conformance status
WCAG defines three levels of conformance: A, AA and AAA. mauibabe.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: the store’s core pages and the purchase path have been tested and corrected, and some third-party components and older content may not yet fully conform. We keep working through them.
